Recapping February 2017!
Well it’s half through March and I am just getting this post up. Seems about right haha! Life has been pretty busy, but I am getting the hang of things now. If you didn’t know, I started a healthy meal prep business in the beginning of the year. It has been going so well(!), but I wasn’t ready for the demand of meals. Seems like the whole month of Feb I was cooking. After some trial and error, I am in a little better place on cranking out the meals. All I need is a bigger kitchen ha.
We also got to travel last month which was so fun, and much needed. Let’s get into it!

Ramblings
Doing Things
The beginning of the month was pretty slow. We didn’t have much going on and kept it low key. Like I said, I pretty much felt like I was making meals every damn day. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining, because it is a great gig and so rewarding, but cooking food in mass amounts for others can get a little overwhelming. Especially when your kitchen counter is 2 feet long. But things are running more smoothly now, which is nice.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day at home and Michael surprised me with a fabulous meal — roasted beet soup, seared scallops and bacon, and filet mignon with tahini whipped potatoes and roasted asparagus. I mean look at those scallops.
Later in the month we traveled to San Fran to visit Michael’s cousin and his fiancé. After a 6 hour delay we finally made it! The weather wasn’t the best (it rained a lot of the time), but we still had so much fun! We saw the Golden Gate Bridge/walked on it, saw the Full House houses, visited Alcatraz, went to Napa, walked around the piers downtown, and ate some bomb food. The food scene is a foodie’s dream pretty much. We didn’t even skim the surface of it and had everything from Burmese, ramen, seafood, and Greek.
The rest of the month was low key and didn’t involve anything too exciting.
What I am loving
Not to be a repeat of last month, but making meals for people. I know I just sounded like I complained about it, but it is so rewarding. Some of my clients have lost over 10 pounds, inches off their waist, and a decrease in body fat — just over the past 2.5 months. And that is just the physical benefits.
Burmese food! We had it in San Fran and now I am kind of obsessed. This tea leaf salad was one of the freshest salads I have ever tasted (and I eat a lot of salads). I am dying to have more of it.
Ka’Chava superfood meal. It’s not just a protein powder, but a superfood meal! It uses some of the best superfoods on earth, has no fillers or artificial anything, and tastes amazing. I have been adding it to my smoothies for a boost of protein and vitamin and minerals. If you are looking to try it, use this link to save 15% off your first order. This post is not sponsored, but I just truly love the product!
Making videos for you guys! I made one for these spinach protein pancakes and apple cinnamon protein cookies. I can’t wait to show you some more!

It amazes me how you can prep all that food, make videos for your own recipes, workout, and just keep going; you have a GIFT of stamina Kelly.

Haha thank you Em! I have been trying to take some days off here and there to recuperate, which has been helping.
