Weekly Workouts Recap

A recap of my weekly workouts from the previous week.

Weekly Workouts Recap

This whole marathon training isn’t going as well as I thought it would be. We keep cutting our long runs short and I get pretty tired after about 13 miles. It’s really hard to keep a consistent pace the whole time and we stop a few times with a longer break than we would take if we were running a race. Hopefully I can pull it together the next few weeks!

Sunday – CrossFit WOD

800m run
75 wall balls (20/14)
600m run
50 box jumps (24/20)
400m run
25 shoulder 2 OH (135/93)
200m run

I finished in 18:45 using 65#

Monday – Crush workout – upper body

Tuesday – CrossFit WOD

3,2,1,1,1 front squats

18:00 AMRAP
25 thrusters (95/65)
25 box jumps (24/20)
25 calorie row
25 toes 2 bar

I worked up to 145# and finished with 2 rounds + 41 reps (16 box jumps) RX

Wednesday – half a Crush workout (did the tread part)

Thursday – training run

16.5 miles @ 8:45 pace. We were supposed to go 20, but didn’t make it that far. Hopefully one day ha.

Friday – rest day/travel day to Pittsburgh

Saturday – at home CrossFit WOD

5-10-15-20-25-30
burpees
air squats
sit-ups

Modified the CFCL workout so I could do it where we were staying. I didn’t time myself, just wanted to get moving.

Wow, you have a really intense well balanced week when it comes to workouts! I love that you get in some intense strength workouts and some good runs! Are you training for a marathon?

Hang in there! I’m not sure what week you’re on for marathon training but my past two marathon training cycles I hit a rut around weeks 5-6… the excitement of training wore off and things started to feel like more of a chore! Then you have a really great run or workout and remember why you’re doing it – it always passed for me after a week or two.

Our marathon is the first week of December so we only have 6 more weeks or so!! I’m hoping for a great run this week to get me back in the groove of it! Thanks for the encouragement Danielle!
