Doing Things
As you can see from my ramblings, this month was filled with a lot of Whole30 and not too much other stuff. We did a few things here and there, but most weekends were spent at home just relaxing. I definitely enjoyed the nice change of pace.
Halfway through the month my girlfriends and I had a Whole30 potluck dinner. Each person brought a dish and we drank “mocktails” and just chatted. It was a lot of fun and a good way to socialize while still staying on track.
We also went to Blues on the Green. We missed the first artist, but the second one was pretty good. There were so many people. No way you could actually see the stage unless you got there super early. It was a fun weeknight out though!
What I am loving
Whole30!! Maybe not loving, but I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was good reset and really made me evaluate what I was eating and my eating habits previously. I’ll do a full recap later this week.
This curry from PaleOMG (pic above). If you like curry, you need to make this!! We do a weekly dinner at our friends house and this was the meal that week. OMG it was so good. I could eat it all the time and not get tired of it.
Cherries. Holy crap I am obsessed. Sprouts had them on sale for less than $2/lb and I think I bought almost 15 pounds in 2 weeks. I will be freezing a lot of them to have for the fall and winter.
Cashew Butter. I made some homemade and it is addicting. So much easier to make than almond butter too! Thinking about making some for the blog, what do you think?
What’s next in July? Lot of summer veggie dishes and healthy sweet treats! (While still staying somewhat on track on the Whole30). Follow along weekly on Instagram!
