Recapping the second week of my second Whole30!

Whole30 Week 2

I’m half way through! If you missed my other recaps, you can find them here:

The Start of Whole30 #2
June Whole30 Week 1 Recap

By the time this posts it will officially be day 17. I feel good! I wouldn’t say I have that “dragon’s blood” feeling yet, but overall I feel pretty great.

My workouts are probably about the same, at least I haven’t really noticed too much of a difference in them. My sleep has been ah-ma-zing! Well except the last two nights. I sleep pretty soundly throughout the night without waking up. I am still tired some mornings, but I think that has to do with the 5am wake up calls on some days.

Things I miss?

Hmm, I haven’t had any super cravings lately. The recipes we have been making have been pretty delicious so it helps with not wanting crappy food. I will want something a little sweet every now and then, but it hasn’t been crazy. I will just eat some fruit or coconut butter and that helps.

Delicious recipes from the week:
Tuna Tahini Apple Salad
Citrus Chicken with Cilantro Garlic Sauce
Spicy Pineapple Jicama Guacamole
Cabbage Pizza Rolls

Whole30 Week 2

Real life stuff

Overall feel less bloated and more lean. I don’t know if I actually am, but my body feels good. I am tempted to weigh myself, but I know you are not supposed to until the 30 days are up. Truth be told, I am a little nervous I might be gaining weight. I feel good, but there is still a lingering thought in my mind that with all the food I am consuming I might gain some weight.

I know it isn’t about a number on a scale if you feel good, but it is hard to break old ways of thinking. Will it be the end of the world if I gain weight? No. If I feel better than it shouldn’t matter. Right? It is just a mind f*ck really, and probably one of the reasons I don’t like to weigh myself often.

Whole30 Week 2

I am feeling pretty confident for the last 2 weeks and ready to finish strong!

Hi Kelly, just discovered you via your comment on Strength and Sunshine. I’m enjoying your blog so far… how long have you been blogging? 🙂

I did my first Whole30 this past January and I have to say, that “dragon’s blood” feeling is worth all the effort. I have never felt so amazing–bright-eyed, energetic, clear-headed! I totally need to do another one. Hope yours finishes out well… enjoy that dragon blood when it hits!! 😀

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the kind words! I’ve been blogging for a little over a year, but have really been getting into it just this past 6 months or so. It’s crazy how good you can feel just by making a few adjustments on what you are consuming. Thanks for the encouragement to finish strong!
