Recapping the third week of my second Whole30!

Whole30 Week 3

One more week!! Today marks the 24th day and I have exactly one week left. Wahoo!! If you missed my other recaps, you can find them here:

June Whole30 Week 1 Recap

June Whole30 Week 2 Recap

I am having mixed feelings on being done. On one side, I want to be done so badly. It gets tiring meal prepping and planning out every single thing you eat. I am also missing a friend’s birthday dinner at an amazing place. The menu is prefix, so it is not really like I could navigate through it. We have two pool parties this weekend and it would be nice to have at least one or two drinks as well.

On the other hand, I like how I feel and think I might have gotten a little leaner. I haven’t had any stomach issues, which sometimes happens to me, so that is super nice. My workouts have felt pretty good, not sure if they have changed much though. Not drinking alcohol on the weekends has made me pretty productive as well.

The last week I didn’t sleep well at all though. Toss and turned some night and felt restless in the morning. Not sure if it is just because of the heat or what, but I want to go back to the first week when I slept like a baby.

Whole30 Week 3

Things I miss?

Smoothies. Geez I just want to have a smoothie. Especially now that it is summertime, I am really missing them. I usually make them myself and know what I am putting in it (not a lot of fruit!), so they aren’t even that bad. 7 more days people!

Alcohol. It’s not even that I want to get drunk. I would just like one drink every now and then. We went to Blues on the Green on Wednesday and it would have been nice to have one drink to relax and enjoy the moment. I don’t know if that sounds bad or like I need alcohol to have fun, which I don’t, but it would have just been nice.

Real life stuff

Nothing too exciting. One thing that has been pissing me off though is I feel like I have more pimples since doing the Whole30!! What gives!?! At first I thought it was because it was the time of the month, but 3 weeks later they haven’t gone away. I don’t know if it is because I am eating more animal protein? We try to buy all natural, preservative-free, antibiotic-free, and all that, but maybe something is making my body react.

Or it could be from eggs? I have heard eggs make people breakout, but I have never experienced that before. I have been eating eggs everyday though. Please don’t say it is the eggs.

Whole30 Week 3

One more week. Going to finish strong!!

Have you heard eggs make people break out?

OMG all of this food looks insanely delicious!!!!! I live a Whole 30 lifestyle, with even more constraints thanks to intolerances and allergies, and I have to say, I never ever get bored with my food selections! 🙂
