Two weeks down! I’m recapping my April Whole30 round 3 week 2 – from how I am feeling, what I am craving, and all the randomness!

Half way there!! WHAT WHAT!! Doing another quick recap of how my Whole30 is going so far – how I am feeling, what I am craving, and everything else. If you missed it, I talked about why I am doing a 3rd round of the Whole30 here.

April Whole30 Round 3 Week 2

Two weeks down and I would say I’m feeling pretty great. I think I am finally feeling that tiger’s blood ? I mean I got up this morning at 6:15am to meal prep. On a Sunday. Like what?! I had some plans with my friends so I needed to get some done beforehand. My alarm went off and I felt well rested and ready to tackle the day. A few weeks ago I probably would have hit snooze 4 times and then slowly rolled out of bed.

I feel pretty well rested each morning I wake up (with maybe an exception of a day or two), which is awesome. The past few months I have felt just so tired and run down in the morning and it’s a struggle to get out of bed. Definitely a change from last week when I was pretty tired still.

I need to work on not snacking (still). I mean I have been good about it for the most part, but when I meal prep (for myself or for people), I am constantly eating as I am making food. It’s just the way I cook – I try as I go. But then when food is in front of me, it’s hard to not try it and have a few bites. So I’m trying to work on that, but it’s a work in progress. I need to remember that there is no perfect Whole30 though and I shouldn’t beat myself up about it.

Things I miss

Still pretty good on the not missing too many things. I freaking love crunchy things so and I do miss them…mostly chips haha. I went to a dinner last week at Siete Foods and while they were super accommodating of everyone’s dietary needs and restrictions, but it was hard when everyone was trying the new flavors of chips!

I’m trying to eat lots of raw veggies to fill my crunchy need void.

Things I definitely don’t miss is eggs! After eating them from breakfast for like 9 days straight, I needed a break. Switched it up for a few days and now I’m ready to have them again.

Real Life Stuff

Not too much to update on. Like I said, overall I am feeling pretty good, but I do eat the occasional headache now and then. I’m guessing it is something I am eating, but I can’t put my finger on it. Or it could be caffeine. I don’t drink coffee, but occasionally I’ll have tea and this morning I had some and got a headache. I usually do decaffeinated, but this morning it wasn’t so I’m not sure if it was that. I guess I have some experimenting to do!
