A recap of my weekly workouts from the previous week.
Happy Monday! Currently on my way back to Austin from Scottsdale, AZ for my bachelorette. It was a lot of fun – we ate some good food, explored the town, had a lot of pool time, and enjoys some drinks. It was nice to get away, hang with a few girlfriends, and relax. I’m ready to get back home though to Michael and Cashew, my workout routine, and regular eating schedule.
I’ve talked about this before, but vacations are meant to be enjoyed. I used to be in a place where I was constantly worrying about not getting in a good workout or eating off plan on vacation. While I still like to keep it somewhat healthy and like to move my body when I can, I try not to worry about it too much.
We planned Saturday as more of out going out and party day and we started off with a short hike, biked around town, and when we got lunch, I got a loaded salad with veggies and protein. Then we started day drinking by the pool, went out for dinner and drinks where we got nachos, chips and queso, and margs, and then had some more drinks and food.
It’s all about the balance. If you eat well 80% of the time, enjoy yourself when you are out. It’s not worth stressing about the shots of tequila you had, chips and queso, and whatever else you like to indulge in. If anything, that makes it even worse as you raise your stress and cortisol levels. If you think you indulged too much, once you get back home, get right back to your routine. Have fun and get back to it once you are home!
PS – Michael has been stocking up our home gym while I’ve been gone. Get ready for some more home gym workouts!!

I finished in 5:33 with a 20# DB and 8 rounds doing 4 strict pull-ups
Wednesday – CrossFit City Limits
3 rounds for time:
20 alternating pistols
20 toes 2 bar
200 single unders
I finished in 13:53
Thursday – rest day
Friday – home workout
15:00 AMRAP
10 deadlifts
10 hang power cleans
10 push jerks
*every round perform 5 burpees
I finished with 7 round and 2 jerks using 55#
Saturday – vacation/bachelorette in Scottsdale
