Recapping November 2016!
Oh man, 2016 is practically over already? Christmas will be here before we know it and then it’s gonna be all new years resolutions and what not. November was so much calmer than October. I felt like we have been non stop busy since the summer and this past month we had nothing! Well maybe not nothing, but you get my point. It was nice to have time at home to just relax. Let’s get into all the good stuff!

Doing Things
Like I said this month wasn’t full with too much activity. We kept it pretty low key since we were traveling so much in October. It was mostly filled with relaxing along with workouts, food, and friends. The month started out with a few friends and I running the Run for the Water race. We all PR’d so that was pretty awesome. It was a great course around Austin.
We had Reebok come to CFCL which was pretty sweet. We got to test out the nano 6s for a workout and see if we like them. I personally didn’t really like them, but it was cool to try them out. We also go some free swag too.
Michael and I got to try out Flower Child for the soft opening. It’s a new restaurant that focuses on local ingredients, happy animals, and organic food when necessary. They serve anything from avocado toast, salads, sides, bowls, wraps, kombucha on tap, and gluten free treats. It was amazing and I have already been there again! The pic at the top of the post is from there!
We celebrated our friends bday one weekend with some drinks, but nothing too crazy. Then it was pretty much thanksgiving. We did a friendsgiving this year and it was so much fun. Lots of tasty food, football, and some drinking games. The turkey was cooked perfectly too!
Last but not least, we celebrated Michael’s birthday! The day started out with me making him some french toast and then we finished the night with some pizza per his request. Can’t say I was surprised with that choice. Cheers to the dude that helps hold me together and deals with my weirdness. You da best Mikey.
And that was about it. Like I said, we pretty much did nothing and I loved it.
What I am loving
Relaxing!! Just kidding, but not really. This month was filled with a lot of ups and downs. I haven’t talked about it too much here, but it hasn’t been the easiest. I’m hoping doors closing will bring new opportunities. I have had a lot of time to relax and think about what I really want in life and some changes will definitely be made.
The holidays! I never really get into Christmas too much, but this year feels different. I am pretty excited for the holidays as my family is coming to visit and we are actually staying in Austin. I’m excited to start our own traditions here.
The cooler weather and breaking out my crockpot for soup and stews. We use the crockpot to make chicken all year long, but there is just something so comforting to have a big hearty bowl of soup ready for you when you get home. This pic below will be coming soon!
Who is ready for December? My first marathon will be happening this weekend and my family comes to visit for the holidays!!
