A recap of my weekly workouts from the previous week.
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend! We went out to dinner and had some drinks on Friday night and then on Saturday night we were in bed by 10pm. I got 10 hours of sleep and it was glorious.
Last week’s workouts ranged from running, CrossFit, rowing, and Soul Cycle. I was all over the place, but really liked it. I love CrossFit, but mixing it up lately has been a lot of fun. The week started out on a high note with me setting a new PR in a race. My friends and I ran in the Run for the Water race and all PR’d!! My overall pace was 7:21 and I was super happy with that. The course was pretty hilly so it definitely made for a harder race. So glad I had my friends pushing me past my comfort zone. Finding friends that have the same love for fitness as you helps so much when working out. They are constantly pushing you and helping you become a better athlete. I would definitely recommend finding people with similar goals you have and working together on being better.
Sunday – Run for the Water race
10 miles
I set a new PR and finished in 1:13:50! Overall pace was 7:21/mile.
Monday – CrossFit workout during open gym
12:00 EMOM
7 kettlebell swings
7 burpees
I used 45# and got through all 12 minutes. This was just an easier workout to get my body moving after a hard race the day before.
Tuesday – CrossFit City Limits workout
10 rounds for time:
5 power cleans (155/105)
10 front rack lunges
I finished in 11:43 using 85#. This workout was tough. The lunges definitely catch up to you by the middle rounds. My legs and ass were sore for days. See video here.
Wednesday – Ro Fitness class and Soul Cycle class
I don’t usually do 2 a days anymore, but my friend had her first class teaching at Ro Fitness. It was free and I wanted to show my support for her. Then my CrossFit had a free class at Soul Cycle. I can’t turn down a free workout!
Thursday – rest day – much needed
Friday – CrossFit City Limits workout
3 x 10 Bulgarian split squats
4 rounds for time:
500m row
12 thrusters (95/65)
I worked up to 30# kettlebells in each hand and finished the workout in 13:50RX.
Saturday – rest day
