Recapping May 2017!
Well hello there! Remember that time I used to post monthly recaps about what went on in my life. Yeah me either ha. Let’s just say I got a little behind on them haha. Since June is just about over, I figured I would recap May…seems about right. Life has been crazy busy, but should be calming down some. I can get into that in the next months recap..since it’s only a few days away haha.

Doing Things
The end of April/beginning of May started off with us going on a triple date to Tomodachi Sushi. It was our first time trying it and it was so bomb!! Best sushi I have had in Austin so far. The night continued on with some bowling and then finished at a karaoke bar. Let’s just say lots of drinks were consumed ;p
That first week I took over the @whole30recipes feedfeed on Instagram. It was freaking insane. I got to connect with so many people, share my recipes, and just spread the love of real food. It was amazing. So many of y’all tried my recipes and it made me so happy. Pictured below is @good.chives with my pistachio coconut chicken tenders.
That weekend I headed downtown with some friends for a #gethealthygettogether hosted by Camille Styles. It was a 30 minute barre based worked, 5 minute guided mediation, a short panel on with some awesome Austin women in the health and wellness scene, and then food and drinks from a few local companies.
We hit up the Kings of Leon concert mid month. They were so good! I wanted them to rock out a little more, but they still were awesome.
Towards the end of the month I went to Paleo fx. It was so fun meeting and connecting with brands, bloggers, and like minded people. I got to try some many products too…lots of nuts, nut butters, energy balls/bars, and treats. Man did I need some veggies after that haha. Pictured is me working out with Susel from WholeMe.
The month ended with Murph on Memorial Day. I got a new PR so I was happy about that!
What I am loving
Pincik! I have eaten there before and love their food, but have never had one of their buttered coffee drinks because I don’t drink coffee. Well I ended up having two different kinds of drinks from there last month and they were so good! I tried the house chia and the golden milk matcha. Both so bomb. I could drink them every day, but then I would be broke ha.
Avocado toast. I know avocado toast is pretty wide spread by now, but I hadn’t it in awhile and got some at Juice Society. It was the best toast I have ever had. The avocado with the greens and the tomato plus the balsamic. Perfection.
Capitol Sandwich!! I’ve talked about them before, but they were previously known as Republic of Sandwich and reopened and I am so glad they did. They were our favorite neighbor sandwich spot and we were so bummed when they closed. We enjoyed it post Murph on Memorial Day.
Well that’s it for May. I’ll be back next week to talk about June haha!
