Doing Things

May Rewind 2016

The month started off with a bang. I competed in my first triathlon and placed 3rd in my age group. The recap is linked above. We also had our 4 year anniversary party at CFCL on the last day of April. We did a workout and then some partying and drinking after. I didn’t partake in the partying since I had my triathlon the next day.

May Rewind 2016

The next weekend we flew home and had my sister’s college graduation. Lots of food, fun, and family time. Great weekend back home. Check out the recap above. My friend had a wealth talk at her house. That was really informative. Time to get my finances in place. Also got to try out O’Joy with the AFBA. Organic smoothies, juices, yogurt bowls, and healthy snacks. Right up my alley.

May Rewind 2016

We went to Florence and the Machine, which was amazing. She danced around the stage all night and her voice is insane! Even better than on the radio. She is also super hippie and all about spreading love. I loved it.

May Rewind 2016

I attended Paleo f(x) for a day. Even more important is that Juli, Cassy, and Vanessa came to Crush to workout on morning. So fun working out with them!

We closed out the month with a nice long weekend over Memorial Day. Sand volleyball, pool, and grilling with some friends. A little North Austin brewery tour. Murph and pool time. Successful long weekend.

What I am loving

Hmm, what am I loving lately? I was still on my smoothie kick in May, but now that I am doing the Whole30, no more smoothies.

My frist triathlon was really fun. Hoping to do another one, but it might not be soon since they are pretty expensive. My competitive nature wants me to get 1st next time haha.

I started reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up early on in the month. I am only about a 1/3 of a way though it, but it is a great read. I just want to rid my house of so much clutter. I got a little preoccupied with the blog, but want to set some time to read it.

Making sauces with cashews! They make the best creamy consistency and blend so well with just about anything.

Playing with my camera. I have been trying to make more pictures with it instead of my phone. I am still pretty lost, but getting better!

What’s next in June? Well the Whole30! Follow along weekly on Instagram!
