Happy Monday! This post is a little late, but better than nothing. Just wanted to drop in with a little #motivationmonday. I did this workout yesterday at open gym with a few people and boy was it was tough one. I snagged this workout called Ella from carrots n cake a couple weeks ago and suggested it yesterday since we needed a good workout. It was so much harder than it looked!
5 round for time:
28 box jumps (24/20″)
28 kettlebell swings (53/35#)
:90 second row/bike
Pretty straight forward, but it is 5 rounds for time of box jumps, kettlebell swings, burpees, and 90 seconds on the rower or bike. Th height is the standard height for box jumps, so they should be pretty easy. The kettlebell swings are a little lighter than normal, so they will still be a little challenging, but something you can do in either 1 or 2 sets. Burpees are just burpees, and really suck in this workout. I usually don’t mind them, but it was the hardest part for me in this one. The 90 seconds is more of a recovery, but something to keep your heart rate up.
We set a 40 minute cap on the workout and I finished in 37:36RX using the rower. My friend Carmen finished in probably 32 minutes or so. She is so freaking fast on box jumps! The guys hit the time cap, but they were in their fifth round. Give it a go if you dare and let me know if you liked it!
