Doing Things
The month started off with a bang by us heading to San Diego for a week for one of Michael’s cousins wedding. It was a great week and a much needed vacation. I won’t go into the details as I recapped most of it in the blog post linked above.
The rest of the month we took it pretty easy. After coming home from vacation we relaxed a decent amount. We got to check out the grand opening of the NadaMoo! store front which was super fun. The store is super cute and they have the best dairy free ice cream around.
My good friend Danielle had a baby mid month!! He is the cutest thing and I’m so excited for this journey of her life. I’m definitely not ready for kids, but I am for sure excited to hang out with her little nugget.
The next weekend I checked out two of my friends in a CrossFit comp. They didn’t podium, but they kicked some ass and are super strong. I don’t see myself doing any CrossFit comps in the future, but watching it sure made me get excited about them. We tried out a new restaurant that weekend – Thai Fresh – which we enjoyed. It wasn’t anything amazing, but we liked it. They are known for their gluten free dessert which we didn’t try, so I might go back for that.
We had some friends over and finally smoked some meat our Traeger! We did brisket and it turned out really good. Definitely need a few adjustments next time, but we were all super psyched with the frist go around. Excuse the horrible picture, it was late and we were all hungry.
The rest of the month was filled with lots of adulting…we picked out some new furniture, picked out some stuff for the wedding, and did our wedding tasting. The wedding tasting was super fun and delicious. I obviously love food and want our guests to have a great experience, so I want the food to be bomb. I’m happy to say everything was great and I’m so excited. I am still undecided on the cake, but we still have a few months.
What I am loving
Checking things off the wedding list. Not going to lie, wedding planning hasn’t been that fun for me, but we are slowly knocking things off the list. And we had our wedding tasting which is what I’ve been looking froward to so that helped a lot. I freaking love wedding cake so I loved this part. We are still undecided on the flavor as I didn’t love the ones we tried. but that just means we can try some more 😋
This ice cream maker!! I’ll admit the first time I used it I was a little underwhelmed (we tried to make frozen yogurt), but the second time was gold. I posted this recipe last week and it is bomb. Homemade ice cream is so so easy.
That’s it for July! I’m super excited for August – it’s my bday and we have lots of fun things planned!
