Recapping September 2018!
Happy October!! Actually we are almost a week into October – where is the time going?! It seriously needs to slow down. We are getting married in a month in a half and I have lots I want to accomplish by the end of the year.
September was a fun month – didn’t do much as having a new puppy kind of constrains you, but it was still a fun month since my sister was here for most of it. Let’s get into it.

Doing Things
To be honest, not that much went down this month. With getting Cashew at the end of August, you can’t really take them anywhere until they have all their shots. So a lot of our time was at home hanging with him. No complaints though. My sister was also visiting for most of the month. We did lots of recipe testing and work!
The beginning part of the month we did get out engagement photos done!! Finally LOL. They turned out great and I need to share with y’all!! Here is a sneak peak of one of them!

Cashew also started puppy kindergarten which is the cutest thing ever. He gets to play with a bunch of other puppies and then learns a few new things each class. I think he really enjoys it and it’s good to get him out of the house and learn some commands from the teachers.
I was invited to an event hosted by Kodiak Cakes and brought my sister along which she loved. It was a boozy ice cream social at Prohibition Creamery. So much fun meeting their team and trying the ice cream!
We tried out Fresca’s which was really good! I love the outdoor area and can’t wait to go back.
The last weekend of the month I went to Scottsdale for a little bachelorette weekend! Not all my friends could come, but it was still a lot of fun relaxing, exploring the city, hanging by the pool, and eating some good food. I definitely want to go back with Michael.
What I am loving
I (finally) got a new Garmin after trying to decide for like 2 months. I got the Forerunner 645 Music and so far I am loving it! I haven’t dove into all the features yet, but am going to soon. It doesn’t look too big on my small wrists and I love the colors. It is expensive, but I found a deal on it and treated myself.
Having some good old girlfriend time. I don’t know the last time I just didn’t think about work and relaxed. It was nice to get away and hang with a few friends I haven’t seen in awhile and just do nothing. Cheers to more of that in the future.
Last, but certainly not least, brussel sprout nachos!! Yes, you read the right. We tried them at Diego Pops and they were amazing. Definitely going to try to recreate them for the blog. Ignore the horrible picture – one too many margs in me already.
