Year in Review: Eat the Gains in 2024 – a look back on 2024 with everything that happened, the most popular recipes, and what’s to come for Eat the Gains!
Another year in the books! It always feels like the year goes by so fast, but this year truly felt like it flew by!
I have been doing year-end reviews for some time now as Eat the Gains has grown and evolved. It’s fun looking back over the previous year and seeing what I did personally and professionally. And it helps me realize how far I’ve come over the years!
Here are the year’s previous reviews —> 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023
So here is what happened on Eat the Gains in 2024! I will recap some things that happened for me (personally), along with Eat the Gains, some favorite recipes, and what’s to come!
Life Happenings:
- We moved!! At the end of 2023, we bought a new house and started renovating it. In February of this year, we finally moved into it! We still want to do some little things but could not love it more. The house is great but the icing on the cake is our new neighborhood. There are so many places we can walk to, everyone is so friendly, great schools within walking distance, so many dogs(!!), and more. It has been a goal of ours to move to this neighborhood for some time and it’s better than we had imagined!
- We adopted Blizzy! Some of you might remember we started fostering dogs last year and this year we adopted the sweet pup we started fostering at the end of 2023. He was so nervous and scared when we got him – he lived under our guest bed for 3 months and would only come out to go potty. Around 3 months, things started to shift and he started to open up to us and become interested in Cashew. He continued to open up and show his personality and now he is a completely different pup. He is such a happy guy (and a little wild man lol), it makes me so happy to see him thriving and show you what love and patience can do.
- Our family is growing! This is by far the biggest thing for us this year. We will be expecting a little one early next year and we are beyond excited about this next chapter of our lives.
- Another trip back East! Our 5th summer heading back east for a couple of months. It’s always so nice to spend time with family, escape the Texas heat, and have a change of scenery.
- We traveled to Tulum, Mexico. One last vacation before baby and it did not disappoint. I have heard mixed things about Tulum but we loved it. We mostly chilled on the beach and ate good food and it was exactly what we wanted.
Eat the Gains in 2024 – the content
We put out a lot of content this year. Not as much as last year, but still a decent amount. By consistently putting out high-quality content, we saw an increase and growth in traffic. We continued to focus on easy and macro-balanced recipes as I feel like this is where we thrive. And it’s safe to say you guys LOVE the protein recipes – whether sweet or savory!

Eat the Gains in 2024 – growth
As stated above, we saw an increase and growth in traffic this year on Eat the Gains. While it wasn’t a ton, it was some and I’m happy to see it. We focused our time on putting out recipes and nutrition content and I didn’t have any 1:1 nutrition clients.
What is coming in 2025
While I am so excited for next year for obvious reasons (our family is growing), I know it’s going to look different from previous years. We will still be consistently putting out macro-friendly recipes, but I am going to have to be more efficient with my time.
I have some of the same goals I did last year, which I didn’t get to if I am being honest. First is making more food from scratch (things like sourdough, kimchi, granola, sauerkraut…). The second is to start to volunteer at an animal shelter. Along with those, I want to continue to have a good work-life balance, be present in real life, and enjoy time with my friends and family (same as last year). And of course, be the best mom I can be!
For Eat the Gains, we will continue to develop and share easy and healthy recipes. I said I was going to publish a nutrition course this past year but didn’t. This will be the year for it!
THANK YOU!
This year has truly been one of my favorite years yet, not only from a personal perspective and what I am looking forward to but also for my business. I didn’t have record-breaking numbers, but I felt an immense amount of balance and calmness in my business.
Of course, there were weeks that were more busy and stressful than others, but my freedom and flexibility have been at an all-time high. This was one of my goals when starting my business, it just took some time to get there. Next year there is going to be a lot of change, so who knows if the calmness will stay, but I am really grateful for this year.
With that being said, I want to thank you for being here and for everything you have done to support me and Eat the Gains. From trying my recipes to engaging on social media, sharing my site with friends and family, leaving comments and ratings on my recipes, and more. It does not go unnoticed.
Eat the Gains would not be here if it wasn’t for you and I am eternally grateful. Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to continue to do this as my job!
Cheers to 2025!!
