Happy April! Can you believe it’s April already? Did anyone get a good April fool’s joke played on them? I definitely fell for some pictures on Instagram. The fist was the line up for ACL this year. 365 Things Austin posted a picture of the line up and I got really excited because I saw Alt J and Florence + the Machine. But then you keep reading and see things like Kerby Queso’s (a popular dish in Austin), Bob Marley, The Alamo Drafthouses (a movie theater here), Un-Whole Foods, and John Lennon. I texted 3 people right away with a screen shot of the pic and then was like ahh crap. Sneaky sneaky. Then Whole Foods posted a pic that they are going to be adding tattoo parlors to select stores. That was more far fetched but I did believe it for it for a couple minutes.
On to the eats. I wasn’t feeling too hot in the AM so the bf got me some Alka Seltzer on the way home from the gym. Started the morning off with that and by 10 or so I was finally hungry. Stuck with an egg, egg whites, Ezekiel toast, and some avocado.
For lunch I was feeling a little better, but wanted to stick to something easy to digest so I made a protein smoothie with whey, banana, fresh strawberries, hemp seeds, almond milk, and ice. It’s almost baseball season!! 🙂
By the afternoon I was starting to feel better and decided I was going to go to CrossFit at 4:30 since I missed it yesterday due to my stomach. I had a pre-workout snack of some protein banana bread that I made the other night topped with some almond butter. I wish I would of had more carbs before the workout because it involved a lot of running, burpees, and cleans.
Dinner was AMAZING. I don’t want to be like damn I made a delicious dinner, but I did. Grilled mahi mahi on gluten free corn tortillas, with a mango and cabbage slaw, avocado, and my spicy mayo. I could of eaten like 10 of them. Also, Michael had tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whoops.
Dessert was some PB2 and whey mixed with water to make a peanut butter consistency, a carrot, and some more protein banana bread. It was good, but doesn’t look too appetizing.
