A recap of my weekly workouts from the previous week.

Hi! How is it Monday already?! This weekend seemed to fly by. But I’m kinda okay with it as I’m so excited for the Super Bowl this weekend!! I will probably say this in every post this week, but it’s one of my favorite things. I like watching football and obviously love all the food that goes along with it. And the Eagles are in it!! E-A-G-L-E-S Ealges!!

Anyways, last week was a pretty good week working out compared to the week before. I am trying to go with the flow more and listen to my body. If I don’t feel like doing something, then I won’t make myself do it. Like last week I planned to go for a run on Tuesday. I went outside and started to run and I just didn’t feel like it. So I decided to mix walking and running.

It felt nice to just move my body and not force myself to run because it is what I had planned. They body is a complex thing and after all these years (and as I get older), it’s time I start listening to it more closely. There is no need to push through a workout, especially since I just do it for fun and not competitively at the moment. It feels a little weird not working out as much, but I’m learning to listen to what feels best right now.

Sunday – rest

Monday – CrossFit City Limits

10:00 EMOM
odd: :15 max toes 2 bar
even: :30 max double unders

“Freestyle Fran”
for time:
45 thrusters (95/65/35%)
45 pull-ups
*partition as needed to complete 45 reps of each exercise in any reps and orders as quickly as possible

Fran sucks, but I kinda liked this way of doing it. I finished in 3:50 breaking up the reps by doing 12/12, 11/11, 11/11, and 11/11 using 55# (I usually use 65# for Fran, but went a little lighter for this).

Tuesday – jog/walk around the neighborhood

Wednesday – CrossFit City Limits

3RM Push Press

“18.0”
21-15-9
alternating DB snatch (50/35)
lateral DB burpees

I worked up to 105# in my push press (I think) and finished in 4:35 RX. Who is getting ready for The Open!?! ?

Thursday – rest/walk around the neighborhood

Friday – CrossFit City Limits

for time:
30 DB burpee clean & jerks
——10:00 REST——
3 rounds for time:
12 right arm DB hang squat cleans (50/35)
12 toes 2 bar
12 left arm DB hang squat cleans
12 toes 2 bar

I finished in 4:14 and then 10:28 using 30# DBs

Saturday – Flywheel class good workout!

Not as fun as the one I took the other week, but still a good workout
