In for the Long Hall

Workouts with running are some of my fav! And this one sure does have some running. I have mentioned this before, but if it is your birthday at my gym you can make your own workout for everyone to do that day. So this was created by a fellow gym member. I’m sure positive most people hated it. But you aren’t going to get better at something if you don’t do it. Here is how the workouts goes…

For Time:
24 box jumps (24″/20″)
24 air squats
24 double unders
1600m run
24 box jumps (24″/20″)
24 air squats
24 double unders
800m run
24 box jumps (24″/20″)
24 air squats
24 double unders
1600m run

If you didn’t get the gist from reading it, you are running pretty much the whole time. The box jumps, air squats, and double unders take about 2-3 minutes total each round. Then you are right back outside to run. If you don’t have double unders you can double or triple the reps. I finished in 23:49 RX. My double under weren’t that good that day, so I could of maybe done a little better. The fastest time was 21:10, which is insane. He was prob running around a 6 minute mile.

If you like running, give this a try! Even if you don’t like running, try it anyways. Here are some other birthday workouts from members of my gym.
