My ideal healthy Easter round-up for 2016 that is flavor-packed, nutritious, and easy on your waistline.

Healthy Easter Round-Up 2016

Happy Friday to you all! Hope you had a great week and are ready for the holiday weekend! Even though it is not a long weekend for most, it will hopefully will be filled with family/friend time, good eats, and maybe some Easter candy.

This is going to be my third Easter away from home. The boyfriend and I had just moved to Austin almost 2 years ago around Easter. For our first one, we went to the local restaurant Hopdoddy since we didn’t know anyone. Last year we just hung out with some friends and grilled out and did a potluck type of dinner, which was amazing. Not sure what we are going to do this year, but I am guessing we might just go out to eat. Hopefully we can try a new restaurant!

Usually the words healthy and Easter don’t go together. When people hear Easter, they automatically think candy, chocolates, and sweets. While Easter does involve a lot of sweets, they shouldn’t be the main focus. There are plenty of other foods to focus on for Easter brunch or dinner. My family usually does an early dinner of the typical ham, some kind of seafood, potatoes, and vegetables. I know a lot of people do brunch after church though. Since I won’t be home this year, I wanted to put together a round-up of all the food I would love to be eating. These meals are flavor-packed while keeping that beach body in mind.
