Homemade chicken breakfast sausage patties with ground chicken, spices, and a touch of maple syrup. They are so delicious, easy to make, and so much better than store-bought! Enjoy them for an easy breakfast side.
Make sausages. Add ground chicken, spices, salt, and pepper to a medium-large bowl. Using your hands, mix to combine.
Form sausage patties. Form mixture into 9 equal-sized patties (about 1.75 ounces each), making sure to flatten them out and put a little thumb-sized indent in the middle so they don’t puff up when you cook them. If needed, you can press them down with a spatula when cooking to help flatten them out. The mixture will be sticky; if needed, wet your hands with a little water when forming patties.
Cook. Heat up a large nonstick skillet or cast iron over medium heat, add oil, and let it get hot. Add sausage patties in a single layer and cook for 3-5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 2-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. You may have to cook in two batches depending on how big your pan is.
Enjoy! Serve with your favorite breakfast items and enjoy!
