  • 1 pound frozen berries (4 cups - I used a mix of blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • Add berries to a medium-sized pot over medium-low heat and cook for 10-12 minutes until broken down. If you are using blueberries, break them up with a spoon or potato masher if you want a smoother consistency.
  • Turn off heat and stir in chia seeds. Let sit to thicken for 30 minutes.
  • Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

If you would like to add a sweetener, you totally can. I would suggest maple syrup or honey. To add the sweetener, add it after it has thickened from the chia seeds and mix well to combine. Start at one tablespoon and add more according to your taste.
